Is it possible to indicate on the packaging or in online communications the composition of the packaging itself without indicating the exact percentages of recycled material contained?

The claim on recycled material content should always be specified and qualified, indicating which object the claim refers to (e.g., product, component, packaging, packaging component) and the percentage of recycled material. The recyclability of the material should be assessed in the context in which the product/packaging is being marketed (thus, actual recyclability should be communicated, not just putting it in the recycling bin). If recycling technologies do not exist for that specific material/packaging, no recyclability claims can be made.
