The pictogram of the little man with the basket is an invitation not to dispose of the packaging in the environment. Its design has not been laid down by law, but the lawmakers have requested the use of a pictogram, freely designed, to invite citizens/consumers to adopt a suitable environmental behaviour. The pictogram was introduced in Ministerial Decree dated 28 June 1989, Provision subsequently repealed by art. 36 of the law n.14 of 3 February 2003 (law later repealed by the current legislative decree 152/2006).
